Duhem Family in France and USA.

 
 



The Duhem Family line that I am working on starts with:
 

Jean-Baptiste-Joseph Duhem. He died in Lille, France when he was 104 years old. He was married to Pelagie Angelique Joseph Olivier. They had 4 children. I only have two, and one with his desendents. I need to find Jean-Baptiste and his wife's parents, Etc

1) Benjamin Joseph Duhem (1768-1844)  m. Marianne Cheron and had 8 children.
    Bejamin was awarded the Legion of Honor, 28, Feb. 1816 (France)
       Louis Constant Duhem )1805-1876) m.(2nd) Olympe Combalot.
           Victor Marie Duhem ( 1843-1931) m. Julia Ann Perryman
              Harold Nelson Duhem (1884-?) m. Helen Grant Steiger
                Dorothy Jean Duhem ( 1910- 1955) m. George Van Wart Sr.

2) Pierre-Joseph Duhem (1758-1807)

Notes on Pierre:
Baptized July 9, 1758. In 1789, The people of Douai appointed him Justice of the Peace and elected him as Deputy of the Legislature Oct. 1, 1791. Re-elected to the National Convention he voted on the death of King Louis XVI, without provision of counsel, and his immediate execution, Jan. 21, 1793. March 10, 1793 Duhem demanded the creation of the famous Revolutionary Tribunal. He was found guilty of correspondence with the Republicans of the South and was imprisoned at Ham. He was released the 4th "Brumaire" and resumed the practice of medicine, becoming the head physician of the hospital of Mayence. He died March 25, 1807 of catharral. Age 49.
